TL;DR
  • Scrolling gear is the heart of the game. Chaos and White Scrolls are rare.
  • PQs pay coins, bosses pay marks, failed scrolls pay stamps.
  • Votes pay NX and Vote Points; spend VP at Pettite.

1. The big picture

Scrolling is the chaseBetter gear comes from scrolling it, not buying it.
Bound trackCoins, marks and stamps buy untradeable gear and Vega's Spells.
Market trackThe best items, and every Chaos and White Scroll, are traded between players.
Rare on purposeNo NPC sells Chaos or White Scrolls, so they keep their value.

3. Scrolling basics

  1. One scroll, one slotEach try uses an upgrade slot, pass or fail.
  2. Start with 60%Glove and weapon attack first.
  3. Boost with Vega60% becomes 90%, 10% becomes 30%.

4. Scroll Stamps and Vega

A failed 10% or 30% scroll for attack, magic attack, STR, DEX, INT or LUK, used without a White Scroll, gives your account 1 stamp.

That's up to 3 Vega's Spells (10%). Resets Monday 00:00 UTC.

6. Books, resets and meso skills

Meso Up and Pickpocket.

Meso Up multiplies monster mesos on top of the 3x rate. Pickpocket pays from your damage, not the server rate. Both help fund 60% scrolls (3m at Asia). Thief.

7. Vote Points and Pettite

Each counted vote gives 5,000 NX + 1 VP. Spend VP with Pettite in the Free Market Entrance. How voting works: Voting.

Items are untradeable unless marked. Pettite also swaps 1 VP for 3,000 NX (up to 50 VP at a time).

8. Achievements and medals

Agent M in the Free Market Entrance runs the Hall of Fame. Medals are untradeable, one per character.

Horned Tail Slayer MedalDefeat Horntail once. Announced to the server.
Pink Bean Slayer MedalDefeat Pink Bean once. Announced to the server.
Vanquisher medalsDefeat a boss 50 times. 31 bosses, from Mano and Mushmom to Papulatus.
PQ Mania Medal200 paid PQ clears (from Cody): +2 all stats, +50 HP and MP.

10. Mochi Hunt

Mochi and the Mochi Hunt are switched off until everyone has the updated client.

  2. Catch MochisHenesys Hunting Grounds I-III and the fields east of Henesys.
  3. Trade gummiesEach Mochi drops a Mochi Gummy. Mochi trades them in Henesys or the Free Market Entrance.
